Our Rat Paw Pressure Meter, based on the Randall and Selitto test for determining an animal's response to mechanical pain, involves the applicatoin of an increasing pressure until a response is observed.  This model gradually increases pressure applied to the paw via a step motor advancing a sliding support with distal conic tip.  A extensiometric load cell is mounted to the conic tip, measuring force applied at each moment of the test.  

This unit includes stimulation unit, footswitch, flat and pointed tips, software for data acquisition, communication cables, and instruction manual.
